2.70

頌初二字總舉二喻。對法即是能對治惠如目及日。對治即是所對治障如所入闇。得滅法者證真如理如破闇已見種種色。餘文可解。

The first two words of the verse generally bring up the two similes. The "opposite factor" is the wisdom that serves as the counteragent, like the eyes and the sun. The "counteragent" [here meaning what is countered] is the obstacle to be countered, like the darkness entered. "Attaining the cessation-dharma" means realizing the principle of suchness, like seeing manifold colours after dispelling darkness. The rest of the text is intelligible.
