1.18

經。當為汝說善男子善女人發阿耨多羅三藐三菩提心應如是住如是降伏其心　第三許說也。以將說故名之為當。言應如是住如是降伏其心者。謂如來許可說也。謂隨二問我當分別教示。令汝等如是住如是修行如是降伏其心也。

Sūtra: 'I shall explain it for you. If good men and good women produce the mind of anuttarā samyaksambodhi, they should thus abide and thus subdue their minds.' / Third, this is the permission to speak. Because he is about to speak, he says 'shall'. 'Should thus abide and thus subdue their minds' means that the Tathāgata permits and agrees to speak. That is, 'In accordance with your two questions, I shall distinguish and instruct, causing you all to thus abide, thus practice, and thus subdue your minds.'
