[Sūtra:] "Subhūti, if a bodhisattva has the notion of a self, the notion of a person, the notion of a sentient being, or the notion of a soul, then they are not a bodhisattva:" The subsequent text explains and establishes it. Broadly speaking, there are three kinds of inversion: first, inversion of view; second, inversion of perception; third, inversion of mind. Here, being free from the inversion of perception is called "non-inverted". Such inversion of perception arises based on the view of a self. Therefore, if a bodhisattva gives rise to such perceptions, they lose the name of "bodhisattva". If one reverses this, one accords with correct wisdom and does not give rise to such [notions]; this is called the non-inverted mind.
