1.58

經。時慧命至無復疑惑　二阿難具陳文分為三。一彰己諦誠。二懼他不信。三生誹墜苦。就初文中文分為四。一述。二徵。三釋。四合。此則初也。今此阿難彰己自信故無疑惑。

Sūtra: “At that time, the Venerable [...] no further doubts.”
Second: Ānanda explains in full. The text is divided into three: first, displaying his own sincerity; second, fearing that others will not believe; third, generating slander and falling into suffering. Under the first, the text is divided into four: first, recounting; second, probing; third, explaining; fourth, applying. This is the first. Here Ānanda displays his own faith, hence having no doubt.
