Sūtra: 'Ānanda... could not be exhausted.' Section 6: Praising that an eon could be exhausted. It adduces that the altruistic practices and vows of Bhaiṣajyaguru Tathāgata are difficult to exhaustively state, urging beings to have firm faith. 'Immeasurable bodhisattva practices' means that this Tathāgata originally practiced immeasurable altruistic bodhisattva practices in the past. 'Immeasurable skillful means' means that now, after attaining buddhahood, he uses immeasurable subsequent compassion and skillful means to benefit the three vehicles. 'Immeasurable vast vows' means that this Tathāgata has not only twelve great vows, but immeasurable vast vows to benefit sentient beings; therefore, one should exclusively have faith.
