第一段舍利弗心念此諸菩薩當於何食。明聲聞非不須食。但食自噵則難噵他則易。故云菩薩。

In the first section, Śāriputra thought to himself, "Where will these bodhisattvas eat?" This shows that it is not that the śrāvaka does not need food; but to speak of oneself is difficult, while to speak of others is easy, and therefore he said "bodhisattvas."
