From “When those bodhisattvas heard this explanation…” onwards is the sixth major section in the chapter. The mahāsattvas from the higher realm praise the Buddha and the bodhisattvas, all saying, “It is unprecedented!” They praise Śākyamuni Tathāgata’s equanimous wisdom of emptiness, by which he is able to conceal his immeasurable power of skillful means, adapting to the capacities of beings to preach the Dharma in various ways according to what gods and humans delight in—which is truly rare. These bodhisattvas, furthermore, are able to be humble: in their humility they do not decline toil and hardship, nor do they discriminate between pure and impure, in being born in this land.
