3.31

時我已下是第三迦葉彰已聞法發心捨小乘執。於中四句。一自發大心。二復作是念下彰淨名德。三其誰已下勸他發心。四我從已下彰己及他俱捨小行。是故已下結不堪也。

From "At that time I..." downward is the third part: Kāśyapa manifests that having heard the Dharma, he aroused the mind [for awakening] and abandoned attachment to the Hīnayāna. In this there are four clauses: first, he personally arouses the great mind; second, from "Again making this thought..." downward, he manifests Vimalakīrti's virtues; third, from "Who would not..." downward, he encourages others to arouse the mind; fourth, from "From now on, I..." downward, he manifests that both he and others have abandoned Hīnayāna practice. From "For this reason..." downward, he concludes that he is not competent.
