6.66

佛言已下第二如來印述。文中有三。一嘆善哉。汝能護法吾助汝喜。二此經下釋其所以。正以此經廣說三世諸佛菩提。是故若人受持經者即為供養去來今佛。故勸一切皆受持此。三是故下結。可知也。

From "The Buddha said" onward is the second [major division], the Tathāgata's endorsement. In this text there are three points: first, praising with "Excellent! You are able to protect the Dharma; I rejoice with you"; second, beginning with "This sūtra," explaining the reason, precisely because this sūtra extensively explains the bodhi of all Buddhas of the three periods of time, and therefore if a person receives and upholds this sūtra, they make offerings to the Buddhas of the past, future, and present, which is why he exhorts everyone to receive and uphold it; third, beginning with "Therefore," concluding, which can be understood.
