是故寶積。若菩薩欲得淨土當淨其心。隨其心淨則佛土淨　肇曰。結成淨土義也。淨土蓋是心之影響耳。夫欲響順必和其聲。欲影端正正其形。此報應之大數也。

"Therefore, Ratnarāśi, if a bodhisattva wishes to attain a pure land, he should purify his mind. According to his mind being purified, the Buddha-land is purified." Sengzhao says: "This concludes the meaning of the pure land. The pure land is simply the echo and shadow of the mind. If one wishes the echo to be compliant, one must harmonize the sound; if one wishes the shadow to be upright, one must make the form upright. This is the great principle of cause and effect."
