1.365

為不食故應行乞食　法身不食。肇曰。不食即涅槃法。涅槃無生死寒暑飢渴之患。其道平等。豈容分別。應以此平等心而行乞食。使因果不殊也。

"For the sake of non-eating, one should go on the alms round." The dharmakāya does not eat. Sengzhao says: "Non-eating is precisely the Dharma of nirvāṇa. Nirvāṇa is free from the afflictions of saṃsāra, cold, heat, hunger, and thirst. Its path is equal; how could it allow discrimination? One should carry out the alms round with this equal mind, causing cause and effect to not be distinct."
