如是五百大弟子。各各向佛說其本緣。稱述維摩詰所言。皆曰不任詣彼問疾 此二總述辭也。
In this way, the five hundred great disciples each recounted to the Buddha their original encounters, relating what Vimalakīrti had said, and all said that they were not competent to go there and inquire about his illness. This is the second part, the general recounting of their refusals.
