方便是道場教化眾生故。四攝是道場攝眾生故 肇曰。方便起乎。弘化四攝生乎。來眾也。
"Expedient means is the bodhimaṇḍa, because one transforms sentient beings. The four means of embrace are the bodhimaṇḍa, because one embraces sentient beings." Sengzhao states: Expedient means arise from propagating transformation; the four means of embrace arise from gathering the assembly.
