所以者何。憶念。我昔住於靜室　此下二略釋文五。一住靜室。二魔來。三不識。四施女。五不受。此初持世避諠住靜捨惡化善。皆迹是方便軌之初學。

"Why is this? I recall that formerly I dwelt in a quiet room." Below are two passages briefly explaining this, divided into five points: first, dwelling in a quiet room; second, the arrival of Māra; third, failing to recognize him; fourth, offering the maidens; fifth, not accepting them. This first point shows Dharaṇīṃdhara avoiding clamor, dwelling in quietude, abandoning evil, and transforming toward good—all of which are traces of upāya to guide beginners.
