爾時維摩詰語諸女言。魔以汝等與我。今汝皆當發阿耨多羅三藐三菩提心。即隨所應而為說法。令發道意　此六淨名為女說法也。文二。此初令發心也。肇曰。在魔故從欲在我。宜從道教。

"At that time, Vimalakīrti told the maidens: 'Māra has given you to me. Now you must all resolve your minds upon anuttarā-samyak-saṃbodhi.' He then expounded the Dharma according to what was appropriate for them, causing them to bring forth the intention toward the Way." This sixth point is Jingming expounding the Dharma to the maidens, divided into two parts. This first part causes them to generate the resolve. Sengzhao states: While under Māra they followed desires; now that they are with me, it is proper for them to follow the teaching of the Way.
