天曰。佛為增上慢人。說離婬怒癡為解脫耳。若無增上慢者。佛說婬怒癡性即是解脫　二答也。增上慢者未得謂得也。身子據小乘所證非增上慢。自謂共佛同坐解脫床名增上慢也。既未悟縛脫平等故為說離縛為脫。若大士非增上慢者為說即縛性脫入不二門也。

"The goddess said: 'The Buddha said that being free from lust, anger, and delusion is liberation for those with the arrogance of premature attainment. If there are those without the arrogance of premature attainment, the Buddha teaches that the nature of lust, anger, and delusion is itself liberation.'" (Second, the reply. Those with the arrogance of premature attainment consider themselves to have attained what they have not yet attained. Śāriputra's attainment based on the Hinayāna is not the arrogance of premature attainment, yet his considering himself to sit together with the Buddha on the seat of liberation is called the arrogance of premature attainment. Since he has not yet awakened to the equality of bondage and liberation, [the Buddha] preached for him that freedom from bondage is liberation. If it is for mahāsattvas without the arrogance of premature attainment, he preaches that the very nature of bondage is liberation, entering the gate of non-duality.)
