示入形殘而具諸相好以自莊嚴。示入下賤而生佛種性中具諸功德　外現形殘。內圓法相。外示下賤。內宿殖德。本生佛種性也　示入劣羸醜陋而得那羅延身。一切眾生之所樂見　肇曰。那羅延天力士名也。端正殊妙志力雄猛。

"He demonstrates entering physical deformity yet is complete with all major marks and secondary signs to adorn himself. He demonstrates entering low and base status yet is born into the Buddha lineage, complete with all merits." Externally he manifests physical deformity; inwardly he perfects the marks of Dharma. Externally he demonstrates low status; inwardly he has planted virtues from past lives, originally born into the Buddha lineage. "He demonstrates entering weakness, emaciation, and ugliness, yet obtains the body of Nārāyaṇa, which all sentient beings delight to see." Zhao says: "Nārāyaṇa is the name of a heavenly champion; his appearance is upright and wonderful, his determination and strength heroic."
