譬如根敗乏士其於五欲不能復利。如是聲聞諸結斷者。於佛法中無所益復永不志願　三舉喻。自傷五根。若敗不能欲五塵也。

"For example, a deficient man whose faculties are damaged can no longer benefit from the five desires; in this way, voice-hearers whose fetters are severed have no benefit in the Buddha Dharma and forever do not aspire to it." Third, presenting a parable: lamenting that if the five faculties are damaged, one cannot desire the five dusts.
