雖知諸佛國及與眾生空。而常修淨土教化於群生　此行明雖知人國空而修淨土以化物。肇曰。知空不捨有所以常處中。

"Though knowing the Buddha lands / And the sentient beings to be empty, / He constantly cultivates pure lands / To transform the multitudes of beings." / This verse clarifies that although he knows persons and lands are empty, he cultivates pure lands to transform beings. Zhao says: "Knowing emptiness, he does not abandon existence; thus he constantly dwells in the middle."
