菩薩如是。於諸眾生愛之若子。眾生病則菩薩病。眾生病愈菩薩亦愈　此三合也。並在文可見。

"'The bodhisattva is just like this: he loves all sentient beings as his own children. If sentient beings are ill, then the bodhisattva is ill; if sentient beings' illness is cured, the bodhisattva is also cured'"—this is the third, the application. Both can be seen in the text.
