2.425

深修善法所行轉勝。以大乘教成菩薩僧。心無放逸不共眾善　自行則深修轉勝　導眾則化以大乘。又不矜一善以放逸。乃圓萬德以成道。以大士之進求也。

"Deeply cultivating wholesome dharmas, their practice becomes ever more superior; using the Great Vehicle teachings, they accomplish the bodhisattva saṅgha; their minds are free from heedlessness, not taking part in common goodness." For their own practice, they cultivate deeply and become ever more superior; in guiding the masses, they transform them through the Great Vehicle. Moreover, they do not boast of a single good deed and become heedless, but rather complete the myriad virtues to accomplish the Way. This is the mahāsattva's progressive striving.
