佛告舍利弗。汝見此妙喜世界及無動佛不。唯然已見。世尊。願使一切眾生得清淨土如無動佛。獲神通力如維摩詰　此下第三明聞經益。文二。一身子發願。二聞經利益。初文又三。一問。二答。三發願。如文妙喜淨土淨名神道不思議事。二乘所無故啟茲願也。

The Buddha addressed Śāriputra, 'Did you see this world of Abhirati and the Buddha Akṣobhya or not?' 'Yes, indeed, I have seen them. World-Honoured One, may all sentient beings attain a pure land like that of the Buddha Akṣobhya, and obtain spiritual powers like those of Vimalakīrti!' From here down is the third [section], clarifying the benefits of hearing the sūtra. The text has two parts: first, Śāriputra makes a vow; second, the benefits of hearing the sūtra. The first text also has three parts: first, the question; second, the answer; third, making the vow, as in the text. The inconceivable matters of Abhirati's pure land and Jingming's spiritual path are non-existent in the two vehicles; therefore, he initiated this vow.
