答曰。菩薩欲依如來功德力者。當住度脫一切眾生　二答也。肇曰。住化一切則其心廣大。廣大其心則所之無難。此住佛功德力之謂也。又解。住大悲心諸佛護念。

He replied: "If a bodhisattva wishes to rely on the power of the Tathāgata's merit, he should abide in delivering all sentient beings." The second [passage] is the reply. Sengzhao says: "Abiding in transforming all, his mind is vast. When his mind is made vast, wherever he goes presents no difficulty. This is what is meant by abiding in the power of the Buddha's merit." Another explanation: "Abiding in the mind of great compassion, the Buddhas protect and remain mindful of him."
