"If one who has gone forth into the Buddha's Dharma has discrimination, that is not in accordance with the Dharma; if one has no discrimination, that is in accordance with the Dharma." The second [part] clarifies what accords and does not accord with the Dharma. Śāriputra takes violating the precepts as not according with the Dharma; the mahāsattva takes discriminating between keeping and violating as not according with the Dharma. [Dao]sheng says: "If one feels aversion toward flowers while the principle has neither like nor dislike, then [only non-discrimination] accords with the dharma of the Vinaya."
