This second part elaborates on the provisional manifestations of great compassion above. Since the Buddhas take compassionate transformation as the path, the six destinies and the two vehicles are all the Buddha path. Rui says: "Above, by showing that the female inner nature possesses subtle wisdom yet takes residence in a humble form, uncomprehending types gave rise to perplexity. Wishing to rely on their perplexity to broadly illuminate the mahāsattva's unimpeded bodhi, this chapter has three parts: first, inquiring into penetrating the Buddha path; next, clarifying the lineage of the Tathāgatas; and finally, clarifying retinue and household vocations. The first text has five parts: 1. Question; 2. Answer; 3. Probe; 4. Explanation; 5. Conclusion."
