"He deeply penetrates the true mark and is skilled at expounding the essentials of the Dharma." The second states his superior virtue, in three parts: first, the two knowledges are deep and broad; second, the fruits; third, the two benefits are fully accomplished. This first: deeply penetrating praises the real; eloquence praises the expedient. This is the first. Internally he can deeply penetrate the real principle; externally he can talk about the essential points of the Dharma. Zhao says: Because the true mark is difficult to fathom, yet he can deeply penetrate it, he is skilled. To bring forth many meanings with succinct words praises his virtue in expounding the essential purports of the Dharma.
