3.61

與女人期同道行戒第三十　制意同前。准以俗女為異　別緣有六。一是人女。二共期。三同一道行。四不離見聞處行。五無難等緣。六隨所越界分齊便犯。但使共期不問第三人多少皆犯。以非同法不類於尼。開多伴行。已下正明戒本。此戒因那律被打為緣起。

Precept thirty: Travelling along the same road by appointment with a woman. The intent of the prohibition is the same as before; it is distinguished by applying to laywomen. There are six specific conditions: first, she is a human female; second, making an appointment together; third, travelling along the same single road; fourth, travelling without departing from sight or hearing; fifth, the absence of hardships and similar circumstances; sixth, an offense is committed according to the crossing of boundaries and limits. Provided that there is an appointment, regardless of how many third parties there are, all commit the offense; because she is not a fellow practitioner of the Dharma, she is not like a nun [for whom] travelling with many companions is permitted. Below, the text of the precept is properly explained. This precept was instituted on the occasion of Aniruddha being beaten.
