1.62

九先歡喜聽後如是說比丘隨親厚意迴僧物與　陀標羅漢常知僧事。而少欲知足。衣服麁弊。慈地比丘共眾和儀。與一好衣。尋生惡心。復欲鬪亂。作如是言。隨親厚故迴僧物與他犯墮。凡眾先同後異。悉犯墮也。

Ninth: Having previously rejoiced and consented, afterwards to speak thus: 'The monks, following their personal favoritism, divert saṃgha property and give it [to another]'—The arhat Dabba constantly managed saṃgha affairs, yet he had few desires and was easily contented; his robes were coarse and worn out. The monk Mettiya was in agreement with the assembly's decision to give him one fine robe, but immediately gave rise to an evil thought, wishing again to cause strife and confusion, saying thus: 'Because of personal favoritism, they divert saṃgha property and give it to another'—this is a pāyattika. Whenever the assembly first agrees and later differs, it is entirely a pāyattika.
