二十九與女人獨露處坐　迦留陀夷掘多居士婦。獨露地坐語。白衣譏嫌。因是結戒。隨起更坐犯爾所波逸提。若坐相去五尺一丈已還犯墮。去二丈五突。去三丈若過三丈無犯。

[Rule] Twenty-nine: Sitting alone with a woman in an open place. Kālodayin sat and spoke with Guptā, a householder's wife, alone on open ground; the laity criticized it. For this reason, the precept was formulated: As many times as one gets up and sits again, one commits that many pāyattikas. If sitting within a distance of five feet to one zhang, it is a pāyattika. At a distance of two zhang and five [feet], it is a duṣkṛta. At a distance of three zhang, or exceeding three zhang, there is no offense.
