受日羯磨文　大德僧聽。若僧時到僧忍聽。比丘某甲。受過七日法十五日（若一月應云一月日）出界外。為請喚故（若三寶療病等緣。並隨事稱之）還來此中安居。白如是　大德僧聽。比丘某甲受過七日法十五日（若一日應云一月日）出界外。為請喚故（若三寶或療病等諸緣。並隨事稱之）還來此中安居。誰諸長老忍。僧聽比丘某甲受過七日法。十五日（一月隨稱）出界外。為請喚故（餘緣准稱）還來此中安居者默然。誰不忍者說。僧已忍與比丘某甲受過七日法十五日（若一月准稱之）出界外。為請喚故（餘緣隨稱）還來此中安居竟。僧忍默然故。是事如是持。

Text of the karman for permission for absence: 'Bhadanta, saṅgho suṇātu! If the Saṅgha's time has arrived, may the Saṅgha give consent: the bhikṣu [name] undertakes the procedure exceeding seven days, [namely] fifteen days (if one month, one should say: 'the period of one month'), to go outside the sīmā on account of an invitation (if for the sake of the Three Jewels, tending the sick, or other reasons, declare them in accordance with the circumstances), and will return here for the rains retreat. This is the jñapti.' 'Bhadanta, saṅgho suṇātu! The bhikṣu [name] undertakes the procedure exceeding seven days, [namely] fifteen days (if one [month], one should say: 'the period of one month'), to go outside the sīmā on account of an invitation (if for the sake of the Three Jewels, tending the sick, or other reasons, declare them in accordance with the circumstances), and will return here for the rains retreat. Whichever venerable ones consent to the Saṅgha granting the bhikṣu [name] the procedure exceeding seven days, [namely] fifteen days (declare one month accordingly), to go outside the sīmā on account of an invitation (declare other reasons accordingly), and to return here for the rains retreat, remain silent. Whoever does not consent, speak! The Saṅgha has consented to granting the bhikṣu [name] the procedure exceeding seven days, [namely] fifteen days (if one month, declare it accordingly), to go outside the sīmā on account of an invitation (declare other reasons accordingly), and to return here for the rains retreat. Because the Saṅgha consents in silence, thus is this matter held.'
