The precept on taking a robe from an unrelated nun.
What is meant by a relative? The Daśādhyāya-vinaya states: A relative means a mother, sister, or daughter, up to seven generations of kinship; these are called relatives. The Mahāsāṃghika-vinaya states: An unrelated person is one who is not of the father’s lineage and not of the mother’s lineage. The Mahīśāsaka-vinaya states: If without seeking with one’s own mind, she herself makes poṣadha, or if one knows she possesses an extra robe, obtaining it entails no offense.
