經。孝名戒亦名制止　釋曰。第二釋名。謂遮惡順善。是謂孝也。制伏六根。遮七支惡。名為制止。

Sūtra: “Filial piety is called the precepts, and is also called restraint.” Commentary: The second [point] explains the name. Obstructing evil and according with good is called “filial piety”. Subduing the six sense faculties and barring the evils of the seven branches is called “restraint”.
