1.46

比丘知彼心已。即為說法。乃至廣說。如是等書。名為殺法。殺因者。謂貪嗔癡及方便思。殺緣者。謂羅網等。殺業者。謂動身手等。

Knowing his mind, the monk immediately preached the Dharma to him, and so forth in full detail. Such texts are called methods of killing. 'Causes of killing' refers to greed, hatred, delusion, and deliberate intention. 'Conditions for killing' refers to nets, traps, and so forth. 'Acts of killing' refers to moving the body, hands, and so forth.
