Twelfth, explaining the distinctions of aging-and-death (jarāmaraṇa) has two parts: 1. explaining aging, which has two parts: (1) explanation in seventeen parts, as in the treatise, (2) explaining the general meaning of aging, which has three parts: a. question, b. answer in eleven parts, as in the treatise, c. conclusion; 2. explaining death, which has two parts: (1) explanation with two variant approaches—the first has eleven parts, among which the first two are called that which dies and the remaining nine are called that which causes death; the second has one part; (2) explaining the general meaning of death, which has three parts: a. question, b. answer, c. conclusion. Fourth, general conclusion.
