Clarifying the thesis to be established (sādhya), divided into three: [i] Identification; [ii] Enumeration of names; [iii] Detailed explanation, divided into two: (a) Clarifying the intrinsic nature (svabhāva), divided into two: 1. Identification, 2. Explanation; (b) Clarifying the specific difference (viśeṣa) to be established, divided into three: 1. Identification, 2. Explanation, divided into two: a. Clarifying the four meanings such as 'having superior', b. Enumerating the remaining ten clauses such as 'possessing form', 3. Conclusion.
