The second explains the nutriment of the hindrance of ill-will (vyāpāda-nīvaraṇa), divided into two: 1. explaining the characteristics of nutriment, divided into four: (1) general question; (2) brief answer; (3) distinct explanation, divided into three: a. explaining the nature; b. explaining the characteristics; c. explaining improper mental application (ayoniśo-manaskāra); (4) conclusion; 2. the characteristics of non-nutriment, divided into three: (1) general question; (2) brief answer; (3) distinct explanation, divided into three: a. explaining the correct meaning; b. explaining the reason; c. citing scripture.
