十二明勝解思擇相攝分二。一依初一根本不攝。二依奢摩他遍攝一切根本。

12. Explaining the mutual subsumption of resolute conviction and deliberate investigation has two parts: (1) based on the first one fundamental [attention], it does not subsume; (2) based on śamatha, it universally subsumes all fundamental [attentions].
