二別釋分六中第三明立劫意趣分二。一依八十中劫明立劫意。二依初靜慮三天壽量明立劫意趣分二。一標。二釋分三如論。

Third among the six specific explanations: explaining the intent of positing kalpas, divided into two: 1. Explaining the intent of positing kalpas on the basis of eighty intermediate kalpas (antara-kalpa). 2. Explaining the intent of positing kalpas on the basis of the lifespan of the three heavens of the First Dhyāna, divided into two: (1) heading; (2) explanation, divided into three as in the treatise.
