第四明人趣受苦分三。一標。二釋分八。一俱生苦。二所欲不得苦。三麁疎飲食苦。四逼追求苦。五時節變異苦。六無覆障苦。七黑闇障苦。八變壞苦。三料簡。

Fourth, explaining the experience of suffering in the human destiny has three parts: (1) presentation; (2) explanation, divided into eight: (i) suffering born together [with life], (ii) the suffering of not getting what one desires, (iii) the suffering of coarse and poor food and drink, (iv) the suffering of being constrained to seek [things], (v) the suffering of the mutation of seasons, (vi) the suffering of lacking covering and shelter, (vii) the suffering of the hindrance of darkness, [and] (viii) the suffering of decay and transformation; [and] (3) evaluation.
