第八明為斷故受諸飲食分三。一問。二答分五。一明故受因分三如論。二明故受相分二。一標。二釋。三明故受所生果。四明除故受因果法。五明藥食勝利。三結。

Eighth, explaining partaking of food and drink to sever old feelings has three parts: 1. question; 2. answer, which has five parts: (1) explaining the causes of old feelings, which has three parts as in the treatise; (2) explaining the characteristics of old feelings, which has two parts: [1] stating, [2] explaining; (3) explaining the fruits produced by old feelings; (4) explaining the dharmas of causes and fruits that eliminate old feelings; (5) explaining the benefits of food as medicine; 3. conclusion.
