Within the four parts of [the section on] having wealth and lacking wealth, the second—explaining the distinctions in the giving of external goods practiced by monastic bodhisattvas—has thirty parts: 1. Explaining the distinctions of giving based on not contravening the trainings of the Śrāvakayāna. 2. Explaining the distinctions of giving based on an impartial mind, divided into two: (1) statement, (2) explanation, divided into four as in the treatise. 3. Explaining the distinctions of giving based on giving without diminution according to what was previously promised. 4. Explaining the distinctions of giving based on having previously promised what is superior and exquisite. 5. Explaining the distinctions of giving based on lack of contrary intention and the like. 6.
