Within the nine parts of the fourth, detailed explanations, the second, explaining all beneficial action, is divided into four: 1. general question; 2. brief answer; 3. listing the items, divided into two as in the treatise; 4. detailed explanations, divided into three: (1) general presentation; (2) listing the items, divided into three as in the treatise; (3) separate explanations, divided into three: i. explaining all beneficial action based on exhortation and guidance toward benefit in the present life, divided into four: (i) presentation, (ii) explanation, divided into three as in the treatise, (iii) conclusion, (iv) revealing the fruitful benefit, divided into two: based on reputation and based on happiness in the present life to reveal the fruit; ii. explaining all beneficial action based on exhortation and guidance toward benefit in future lives, divided into four: (i) presentation, (ii) explanation, divided into two: establishing the cause and revealing the fruit, (iii) conclusion, (iv) revealing the fruitful benefit, divided into two: explaining the determinate fruit and explaining the indeterminate fruit; iii. explaining all beneficial action based on exhortation and guidance toward benefit in both the present and future lives, divided into four: (i) presentation, (ii) explanation, divided into two as in the treatise, (iii) conclusion, (iv) revealing the fruitful benefit, divided into two: explaining the fruits in the present life, divided into two as in the treatise, and explaining the fruits in future lives, divided into two: explaining the attainment of mundane fruits and explaining the attainment of supramundane fruits.
