The fourth clarifies worship not in the presence [of the Buddha], divided into two: 1. clarifying the substance of the worship, divided into four: (1) establishing the person offering worship; (2) clarifying the site of worship, divided into two, as in the treatise; (3) clarifying the worship, divided into two, as in the treatise; (4) conclusion; 2. distinguishing the different characteristics of the karmic fruits of merit, divided into two: (1) clarifying the merit of making images and stūpas and so forth, divided into two: establishing the cause, and revealing the result, divided into three: clarifying the fruit of obtaining great Brahmic merit, clarifying the fruit of not falling into bad destinies, and clarifying the fruit of completing the accumulations; (2) clarifying the different characteristics of the merit of the three kinds of worship, divided into three: clarifying the different characteristics of the merit of direct worship in the presence [of the Buddha], divided into two: establishing the cause, and revealing the result; clarifying the different characteristics of the merit of worship not in the presence [of the Buddha], divided into two: establishing the cause, and revealing the result; clarifying the different characteristics of the merit of worship both in the presence and not in the presence [of the Buddha], divided into two: establishing the cause, and revealing the result.
