第五異門依顯有情事等明建立善巧相分六。一依顯有情事立眼等六根。二依生有情事立男女二根。三依令有情事若住若沒立一命根。四依顯諸有情受用境界立苦等五根。五依顯諸有情勝生方便立信等五根。六依顯諸有情定勝方便立未知已知根等三根。

The fifth alternative approach explains the characteristics of establishing kauśalya based on revealing the affairs of sentient beings and so forth, having six parts: 1. establishing the six faculties of the eye and the rest based on revealing the affairs of sentient beings; 2. establishing the two faculties of masculinity and femininity based on generating sentient beings; 3. establishing the single life-faculty based on making sentient beings either abide or perish; 4. establishing the five faculties of suffering and so forth based on revealing sentient beings' experience of the objective sphere; 5. establishing the five faculties of faith and so forth based on revealing the means for sentient beings to attain superior rebirth; 6. establishing the three faculties of the faculty of learning what is unknown and so forth based on revealing the means for sentient beings to attain the definitive excellence.
