Of the nine divisions, the third, distinguishing the distinct meanings based on possessing form and so forth, has eight parts: 1. explaining the distinction of inclusion within form, with two subparts: (1) question, (2) answer; 2. explaining the distinction of inclusion within mind, with two subparts: (1) question, (2) answer; 3. explaining the distinction of inclusion within mental factors, with two subparts: (1) question, (2) answer; 4. explaining the distinction of inclusion within mind-non-associated [formations], with two subparts: (1) question, (2) answer; 5. explaining the distinction of inclusion within conditioned dharmas, with two subparts: (1) question, (2) answer; 6. explaining the distinction of partial inclusion of the two faculties of masculinity and femininity, with two subparts: (1) question, (2) answer; 7. explaining the distinction of partial inclusion of the last three faculties, with two subparts: (1) question, (2) answer (divided into two: statement, and explanation with nine divisions as in the treatise); 8. explaining the distinction of partial inclusion of the life-faculty, with two subparts: (1) question, (2) answer.
