說熏成彼相見種者。如唯識論第八卷說。前七識能與第八熏相見種。此依難陀新熏義說。若依護月本有義說。前七識熏但令增長。

Regarding 'Speaking of perfuming to form those nimitta and darśana seeds': as stated in the eighth fascicle of the Vijñaptimātratāsiddhi, the first seven consciousnesses can perfume seeds of the nimitta and darśana [bhāgas] for the eighth. This is explained according to Nanda's position on new perfuming. If explained according to Candragupta's position on naturally present [seeds], the perfuming by the first seven consciousnesses merely causes them to increase.
