設無表色亦所造者。俱舍頌云。大種所造性。由此說無表。此中造者即是因義。若爾何不用餘造色。是有對耶。答。以能造大是微細故。故是無表不可見也。

"Even if non-revealing form is also produced [by the elements]": a verse in the *Abhidharmakośa* says: 'Being produced by the primary elements, / this is why it is called non-revealing.' Here, 'producing' has the meaning of cause. If so, why is it not, like other derived forms, possessing resistance? The answer: because the great primary elements capable of producing it are subtle, it is non-revealing and invisible.
