如婆沙等句有五種等者。一處中句。不長不短八字成者。二者初句。六字七字所成之者。三者後句。九字已上乃至二十六字成者。四者短句。減六字成者。五者長句。過二十字成者。

Regarding "such as in the Vibhāṣā, etc., where sentences (pada) have five kinds, etc.": First is the moderate sentence, formed of eight syllables, neither long nor short. Second is the initial sentence, formed of six or seven syllables. Third is the final sentence, formed of nine syllables up to twenty-six syllables. Fourth is the short sentence, formed of fewer than six syllables. Fifth is the long sentence, formed of more than twenty syllables.
