獨覺智證與聲聞同教既不多等者。同生空智證生空理。然獨覺性利於聲聞。不假廣聞方能證悟。是故獨覺教習不多。多同聲聞入聲聞藏。

Regarding "the knowledge and realization of a pratyekabuddha are the same as those of a śrāvaka, and their teaching is not extensive," etc.: They equally realize the principle of the emptiness of persons through the wisdom of the emptiness of persons. However, the capacity of a pratyekabuddha is sharper than that of a śrāvaka; they do not rely on extensive hearing to be able to awaken and realize. Therefore, the teachings and study for pratyekabuddhas are not extensive; they mostly follow the śrāvakas in being included within the Śrāvakapiṭaka.
