論。二者名為至能見相故　述曰。依於動心者舉所依緣也。能見相者釋轉識義。依前業識之動轉成能見之相。故名轉識。轉識有二。此在本識依境轉者在事識故。

The treatise says: "Second is named [...] because it is the aspect of being able to see."

The commentary says: "Based on the moving mind" brings up the relied-upon condition. "The aspect of being able to see" explains the meaning of the evolving consciousness. Based on the movement of the preceding karmic consciousness, it evolves into the aspect of being able to see; hence it is named the evolving consciousness. There are two kinds of evolving consciousness: this one resides in the fundamental consciousness, whereas the one that evolutes based on objects resides in the empirical consciousness.
